Sheridan Engineering Research Teams Compete at ASME’s IAM3D Competition

Sheridan Undergraduate Research wishes the very best of luck to the four Sheridan engineering teams ( 10 students and 4 professors) who are presenting at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) International Design and Engineering Technical Conference and Computers and Information in Engineering Conference and Additive Manufacturing 3D Printing (IDETC/CIE/AM3D) conference this weekend!

These teams are invited by ASME to participate in the Finals of 2015 ASME Innovative Additive Manufacturing 3D challenge (IAM3D) to be held at the ASME (IDETC/CIE/AM3D) in Boston Massachusetts from August 2, 2015–August 5, 2015.  The teams will  present their designs, business case and prototypes to a panel of judges.

The ASME Innovative Additive Manufacturing 3D (IAM3D) Challenge is designed to give mechanical and multi-disciplinary undergraduate students around the world an opportunity to re-engineer existing products or create new designs that minimize energy consumption and/or improve energy efficiency.
